Archery

The Mundy’s Mill Middle School Archery Club allows students opportunity to gain a new skill
set all while using educational standards of STEM to promote positive development in each
individual. Students gain a new awareness of the velocity and aero dynamics of arrows.
Additionally, they are able to perceive the curvature in the push and pulling of the string on the
bow. Knowledge on right angles as well as various parts of the bow are observed in
understanding the engineering process of each intricately designed component. Practice with
wielding the bow and arrow provides skills in areas of wilderness survival as increasing aiming
precision will assist in knowing how to hunt.
